FARLEY ARTS TRUST AWARDS AND EXHIBITIONS
Every state secondary school, college and academy in East Sussex is invited to participate in this biennial project. Since 2006 they have submitted work by hundreds of their A level and GCSE students.
Around 60 art works are selected by the Trustees for a public exhibition at Farleys House and Gallery. On the opening night awards are presented in a number of categories: painting; 2D mixed media; 3D sculpture; works on paper; photography; textiles; sketchbooks; and two works are chosen for display for two years in Farleys House.
As part of the event a review of every work is given on the opening night and an illustrated catalogue produced as a permanent record of the achievements of all participants.
